Here’s how we are changing the game with our innovations.
1. Professional 3D Rendering
At My Custom Van, when you come to us, we start by listening to your preferences through Zoom meetings and note down every detail. Then our team of designers creates a 3D render of your dream van accordingly.
You’ll see a video model of your future campervan and can fine-tune every part before we build it.
2. Lightweight Construction
Weight matters on the road. That’s why we use ultralight plywood for wall paneling, ceilings, and cabinets. We use exclusive Magnolia, Styrex, and Pauwlonia plywood, which are 2 to 3 times lighter than standard wood and reduce the overall weight of the build by ⅓.
Moreover, to further reduce the weight, we strategically place cutouts in non-visible areas, all without compromising durability.
3. Family-Friendly Layouts
Since we’re a family-based business, families love our smart, space-saving custom campervans. Our Santa Monica layout is a hit, featuring a convertible dinette bed below and an elevator bed above so that everyone has a place to sit and relax.
Besides families, pet owners also choose us because our clever storage design offers more space to your furry friends.
To take campervan customization to the next level, we have the latest equipment.
Every inch of your campervan is designed in 3D CAD, cut by CNC machines, and precisely scanned with the most advanced 3D scanner available.
We have three engineers on board who use CNC machinery for precise cuts. Our unique joint methods ensure every component is sturdy and squeak-free, even on the roughest roads.
5. Elevator Bed With Expandable Sides
One of the smart components we use in most of our campervans is the elevator bed with expandable sides. You can adjust the bed height using a button, lift it to get space for the dinette seating area, and lower it down to use it as a bunk bed setup.
Unlike a stationary bed, our elevator bed gives you more space underneath for a seating area.
6. Bathroom With Pull-Out Toilets
One of our many innovations is the installation of a bathroom in our custom campervans with pull-out toilets. You’ve got these options to choose from:
- Real tile bathroom with pull-out toilet
- Aluminium bathroom
- Shower and toilet in a bench
Out of them all, our aluminium bathroom is the most popular one because of its ultra-lightweight and easy-to-clean properties. We also install accessories like a shampoo dispenser to keep things within reach.
At My Custom Van, our in-house finishing studio brings your dream colour scheme to life. Our painting and staining services perfectly handle these things:
- Cabinet frames can be in any color
- A partition wall can have any cutout and shape you choose
- The doors/cabinets' faces can be of different colors or textures, plain or shaker style.
8. Rear Storage
To handle all your adventurous gear, in the rear of the campervan, we have several options for you. If you have a spare wheel, bikes, skis, and other gear, you can pick from these choices:

9. Electric Awning & Decking on the Roof
To enhance your outdoor experience, we also install a one-touch electric awning for you. Operate with a button, this legless electric awning can provide instant shade or shelter.
Moreover, in most of our custom vans, we also make space for the roof deck. The roof deck usually has enough space for you to lounge in the hammock and enjoy the view from the roof.
10. Double Swivel Seats & Expandable Benches
Behind the passenger seat, you have options of either having swivel seats or expandable benches.
Choose swivel seats if you’re travelling with a family. These seats can swivel to turn toward the sliding door so you can hang out there while enjoying the outer view. They can also serve as an extra sleeping spot when you have a sleepover with your friends.
You can choose to have expandable benches if you’re a solo traveler or a couple. These benches are more comfortable than swivel seats and also provide extra storage space.
11. Advanced Motorhome Heating System
At My Custom Van, we provide home-like facilities in your home-on-wheels. We install a dual-purpose Glycol water heater in your campervan for the winter season.
This Glycol water heater performs a double function. It simultaneously warms the living space and provides hot water. Moreover, we also do a complete insulation of your campervan, including the floor, walls, ceiling, windows, and van doors.
12. Smart Short Van Design
At My Custom Van, we’re all about creating more storage & living space by using every little area thoughtfully. In most of our campervans (144 wheelbase), like Carlsbad, Santa Cruz, we manage to fit:
- A full-wet bathroom
- Kitchen area
- Dinette for 4
- Elevator bed system
- Swivel seats.
A family of 3-4 can easily live in our short van design.
13. Efficient On-Board Water System
At My Custom Van, we build a complete, leak-proof on-board water system for you. From the setup of tanks (fresh water tank & black water tank) to the installation of a filter under the sink, everything is set to give you a home-like comfort on the road.
Our water system includes:
- 30-gal freshwater tank
- 20-gal greywater tank
- Water filter under the sink
- Availability of hot and cold water
